“The evil that men do lives after them.” – William Shakespeare, Julius Caesar
A new short story set in Salem, MA, just in time for Halloween! Over three hundred years ago, 20 people were accused of witchcraft and executed in this small town alone. Many others were imprisoned. Years later, most of those involved in the trials expressed regret over their parts in what we today view as a needless human atrocity rooted in lies and paranoia. Is it possible that an event like this wouldn’t have lasting ramifications? If we close our eyes to our past, does it go away?
