HITTING THE ROAD

My calendar is starting to fill up as I start to branch out into the world of conventions (or, simply ‘cons’ as referred to by more hip individuals).  For a guy like me, who would be thrilled to just hibernate in my office and write until my fingertips were numb, this is a venture that makes me a little nervous.  The whole ‘putting myself out there and marketing my brand’ is something I’m continually being told I need to do, but not something I’m accustomed to.  NEWS FLASH:  I’m a little shy.  Yes, I know it probably comes as a surprise to some of you, but it’s true.  However, I’m sure this meet and greet thing gets easier the more you do it.  And, I am excited about meeting many people like me who share the same loves for books: both reading and writing.  These should be very beneficial and worthwhile experiences that I will tell you all about afterward.  So check out my schedule of events, and if you happen to be in the area, or already planning to attend one of these cons, please stop by my table and say hello!

ROUND TWO

But, the last few days, I’ve been kicking around ideas for a BW sequel and actually developing a storyline. Apparently, there’s still some unfinished business to attend to…

FESTIVAL WRAP UP

So, the Wine & Arts Festival on Saturday has officially been declared a success. Sold some books, met some great people and even ran into a few HS classmates I hadn’t seen since, well, HS. And through it all, found a new wine that is going on my favorites list! Heck of a day and a very good introduction to this form of marketing!  Now, onward and upward…  Found out about two interesting conventions coming up in the fall, and I’m looking to sit a table at at least one of them.  Details will be posted here as soon as plans are solidified.  “And the beat goes on…”
